Crewel Kits in the store!

Once again the crewel kits are returning to the store! I'm really excited about being able to do this. I love working with the wool threads and the soft effect they give.  The wool fibers are strong and  durable and feel great.

These are all lots of fun to stitch, and since they are designed to fit in a hoop, they are so easy to put up on the wall and enjoy.

Returning!

I'm slowly getting to updating everything, including this blog.  The feed now is posted under the store news sections of the main site.

The biggest news is the updated look of the site. It's designed to be easier to get around and of course, nicer to look at! I'm back posting on The Floss Box's Facebook page regularly, and I've returned to using my old Floss Box blog once again. It turned out to be entirely too much work to maintain my own hosted blog. (Simple is always a good solution).

I've released updated versions of biscornu 1-299 with improved designs and all patterns now have a coordinating design for the lower part.

These are just a few examples. Visit the biscornu patterns to see the rest.

Also, the free patterns page now is live again! There will be more added in time, and there will be a rotation of designs, so don't wait to download them, if you want them!

This is all just a start on updates and changes. I will post more as I go along, so stay tuned!

Site update!

I've made a big site update today. Lots of changes. Hopefully they will make for a more pleasant visit.

One of the major changes will be that I can now offer an option for iron on transfer for nearly all embroidery patterns (At this time I need to go through and add the option to each of the patterns). I will also be happy to offer iron on transfer printing services for other designers. Send a message if you are interested, I will make a page for it soon.

And finally, my site is now pin-friendly.  Pin away, and please be sure to add the links in!!

As always, thanks for visiting!

Academy of the Wizard Arts Cross Stitch

Back to blogging, finally. Things were hectic for awhile, some things got pushed aside, but now is the time for some catch-up!

This new pattern is inspired by a story you all know.

This one took awhile to put together, but it was fun to design!

Thanks for dropping by!

Beaded Stumpwork Berry Tutorial Added

Changes! First a freshened logo. (I look at it so much, that I just need a change now and then!!)

Next I have added a brand new tutorial to my site.  Beaded Stumpwork Berry Tutorial.

I have used these berries many times in my projects. They are easy to make and add a nice flash to your projects.  Enjoy!

An opportunity

The Victoria magazine has been kind enough to feature me in their latest issue (January 2013)! They have included some photos of my projects.

Since then I have had a few people contacting me about buying finished embroideries. I don't sell my work, but customers are welcome to sell finished works (up to 10 for each pattern).

So if you are interested I would like to offer a page on my site with links to people who sell finished works made from my designs.

It seems that it was this piece in particular that has caught some attention:
I did this project in January 2010 as part of an online embroidery exhibition. The theme was winter, of course.
